Pastor Clements has been the pastor of Calvary MBC in Idabel since July of 2000. Prior to accepting the pastorate of Calvary, Pastor Clements served as the pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ringgold, LA and Union Baptist Church in Belmont, LA.
Pastor Clements surrendered to the Lord to preach the Gospel while serving as a deacon in the Rose Park Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA in the spring of 1993.
He and Valerie were married on January 6, 1984 in Ashdown, Arkansas and spent the next 5 years traveling with the United States Navy. Just before his enlistment ended, Doug & Valerie were blessed with the first of two children. Their daughter, Kasey, was born in 1988 and their son, Mitchell followed 3 years later...almost to the day!
Doug & Valerie both grew up in Arkansas and were saved at early ages. Their families were instrumental in them being where they are today, as both families were active in church work during the time they grew up. God has been very good to their family and the Calvary MBC family has had a tremendous impact on their lives. It is, as Bro Doug says, his desire that Calvary has been blessed at least 1/2 as much as much as his family has since he came to Idabel.
